They will also be responsible for creating budgets (both for specific projects and multi-year capital improvements) and coordinating RFPs and RFQs. The successful candidate will have an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Public or Business Administration and/or direct experience in managing subsidized public and multi-family housing, real estate management, property management and capital investment. They will able to provide effective leadership and supervision to a team of 8, be well-organized, energetic, able to work both independently and collaboratively, possess clear and concise written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic, and be committed to OPRC’s core values of quality, diversity, affordability, and efficiency. Oak Park Residence Corporation (OPRC) is seeking an experienced Property Manager to manage the day-to-day operations for two locations (The Oaks, a 76-unit independent living apartment building for seniors and non-seniors with disabilities, and The Farrelly-Muriello Apartments, a 21-unit independent-living apartment building for persons with mobility impairment. Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Housing Programs, the Property Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the two buildings, including supervising a staff of four, addressing resident needs and concerns, working closely with an on-site Ross Service Coordinator to establish and enhance self-sufficiency programs for residents, marketing and leasing units to achieve and maintain high occupancy rate, maintaining waiting list(s), scheduling HUD inspections, conducting re-certifications, coordinating and ensuring compliance with OPRC policies and all HUD requirements, working with the Senior Property Manager to identify and address capital improvements as needed, and ensuring that building is well-maintained. They will be well-organized, energetic, able to work both independently and collaboratively, possess effective written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic, and be committed to OPRC’s core values of quality, diversity, affordability, and efficiency. The successful candidate will possess college or professional courses in accounting with a minimum 2 years of experience in the accounting field including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger analysis, bank account reconciliations, budget, and audit. They should have a strong work ethic, be well-organized, energetic, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Must have excellent computer skills. Experience in a non-profit environment, property management accounting, and/or HUD experience and YARDI software considered a plus.
